Biogas Developers is a one stop UK developer of On-Farm and Waste Anaerobic Digestion (AD) Biogas plants. We have the investment funds to make it happen, and strong experienced AD technical partners who provide everything from obtaining planning permission to the complete construction of a turnkey plant, with electrical connection to the grid and long term operational management and monitoring. There is no significant financial commitment required from farmers or landowners, although we welcome co-investors.

We are progressing our first project at Ardboe, Co Tyrone, Northern Ireland and are keen to talk to farmers and farming landowners, or others with organic feedstock, both in Northern Ireland and elsewhere within the UK.

We are particularly interested in sites where there is existing planning permission for an AD plant. We are not dependent on bank finance, and have money immediately available to progress AD projects. If you have, or are close to obtaining  planning permission but are having problems raising finance we can provide the complete solution.

We have funds to invest in both On-Farm and Waste AD Developments. We are looking to invest at least £2m in each project, and need to own the majority of the shares. No bank finance is involved.

Each project is owned by an individual company. This company buys or takes a long lease on the land for the plant and silage clamps etc. Additionally the company enters into secured crop purchase contracts for 7+ years from the farmers/landowners. The lease & contract prices escalate at RPI, and there are incentives and penalties related to meeting specifications, performance and contributions to project profits/losses.

There are many other farming benefits including the production of heat and biofertiliser, which can help reduce the costs of production, and which we are happy to discuss.

If you are a farmer or landowner who would like a long term secure income supported by these tariffs without the need to invest any significant amount of you own money please contact us. 

We can also arrange for the farmer or landowner to have an option to buyout the shares of ourselves and the other shareholders after the 7 year initial period, and thereby take over the whole operation. This should be readily financeable with bank finance once the business has established a good track record.
